TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Two women are facing multiple charges after police say they stole items from Tucson Ulta Beauty locations.
29-year-old Rosa Gloria Ybarra faces four counts of organized retail theft, one count each of overarching theft, conspiracy, and armed robbery.
The interim complaint states five thefts happened at two Ulta Beauty locations between February 2 and May 24 and totaled $17,795.99 in losses for the company.
The document shows Ybarra used an orange Ulta Beauty bag to conceal the items.
During one incident, she is accused of displaying an eight inch blade that was strapped to her leg and told the manager not to come near her.
The defense claimed she only flashed a knife that was strapped her leg, so they were unsure about probable cause for armed robbery.
According to court records, Ybarra was found guilty on drug charges in 2016. She got probation but it was revoked. In 2025, she was found guilty of solicitation of drug possession. She got probation, but a warrant was issued for her arrest on June 4, and she appeared at a hearing to revoke that probation on June 8.
Her bond was set at $7,500.
Her next court appearance was set for 1:30 p.m. on June 19.
28-year-old Adrienne Capone is facing charges of organized retail theft, aggravated shoplifting, and theft above $25,000.
One interim complaint outlines 12 incidents when Capone took items from Ulta Beauty locations.
The document shows between October 2025 and May 28, Capone would use an Orange Ulta tote bag and then go to the store’s fragrance department.
The interim complaint shows each incident was captured on surveillance video and the total loss to Ulta Beauty was more than $30,000.
A second interim complaint shows Capone is facing one count of organized retail theft from June 3.
The document shows Tucson officers made contact with “a couple individuals, one of which was Capone.”
Capone was found with multiple bags with Ross tags that contained clothing with the tags still on them.
The document states surveillance video caught Capone “entering the store, placing multiple bags on her shoulders, passing the point of sale, and exiting the Ross.”
After being made aware of her rights, the interim complaint shows Capone admitted stealing the items that totaled more than $800.00.
During her initial court appearance, the judge set her bond at $7,500.
Her next court appearance was set for 1:30 p.m. on June 19.
The judge and defense said she is being held without bond on another matter.
According to court records, Capone was found guilty of drug solicitation in 2024. She was given probation but had a hearing to revoke that probation on June 9. In 2025, she was found guilty of theft $3,000-4,000 but organized retail theft and shoplifting was dismissed. Again, she was given probation but had a probation revocation hearing June 9.
