Spring is here and summer is around the corner, but we’re already thinking months ahead. The fall/winter 2026 runways delivered an array of visual delights across New York, London, Milan, and Paris. However, we’re focusing on those from the shoulders up. With playful pops of colour, reimagined classics and animal prints, we’ve rounded up the beauty trends seen on the runway.

Animal prints and feathers are now in style, and this time around, we’re taking a trip to the salon to let out our inner wild side. Similar to Olympic figure skater Alysa Liu‘s halo tresses, Philip Plein and Kiko Kostadinov showcased cheetah spots and zebra-like stripes while Abra channeled Alfred Hitchcock‘s The Birds with a feathered mop. Instead of going all in with permanent dyes and feather extensions, go bold with hair accessories that are versatile for the office, and change things up from time to time with clip-in extensions.

Spotted on the catwalks of Ferrari, Lanvin, and Elie Saab: A high-impact red lip. A classic beauty staple across all seasons, the crimson hue varies in undertone and finish depending on the trends. While warmer hues and blurred lip lines have been big, we’re trading it for crisp lines and cool-toned or dark burgundy hues perfect for fall/winter. For a standout look, keep the rest of the make-up bare with the exception of a satin-matte base.

Sunburn blush is out, the Earshaw (of Wuthering Heights) flush is in. Taking notes from Margot Robbie‘s beauty looks in the recent film adaptation, Nina Ricci, Cecilie Bahnsen, and Enfants Riches Déprimés paired their ensembles with frost-bitten cheeks. The key to this look is the hue and placement. To mimic one’s natural flush, choose a red blush and apply it slightly lower on the cheeks, blending it down and out. Keep the rest of the face light with a whisper of pink on the lips.

Smoky eyes are popular in the colder month, but the standard browns and blacks seem so passé in 2026. Conner Ives, Hermès, and Richard Quinn give this nighttime staple a much-needed refresh with diffused greys. Choose from a mix of mattes, satins, and glitters and diffuse across the lids, up into the crease and along the lower lash line. Add definition with dark grey eyeliner and coats of a matching mascara.

A schoolgirl favourite, braids come in all shapes and sizes. Seen on the runways of Balmain, Maitrepierre, and Acne Studios, we’re mix and matching plaits big and small to add texture and flair to our tresses. Jazz up a simple ponytail with a rope braid—which involves twisting two sections individually in one direction and crossing them over each other in the opposite—and using a styling stick to slick down flyaways. For an intricate half-updo perfect for formal soirees, section the top half of your hair and weave horizontal strands over and under vertical sections for a basket weave braid before locking it in with some hairspray. Wearing your hair down and out? Add some texturising powder and create micro fishtail braids in the front and random sections with tousled waves for a playful look.

Who doesn’t love a good cat eye? Elongating while adding depth, it’s the perfect beauty accessory to be worn alone or as part of a full-on make-up look. While the simple flick works for everyday, we’re turning it up a notch with an elevated full crease wing as seen at Balenciaga, Mossi, and Sportmax. After priming the lids, start by mapping out the outline of your wing and its sharpness, starting from the inner corner outwards just above the crease. With your chosen colour, fill it in and add any extras you want such as Balenciaga’s extended inner corner. Lock everything in with a matching eye shadow on top.

Looking bright eyed and awake is so 2025. Rather than covering up, we’re embracing our dark circles as seen at Ann Demeulemeester, Avavav, and Rabanne. Instead of straight browns, apply a blend of mauve, reds, purples, and taupes depending on your undertone. For an optional added definition, add a coat of mascara and some brow gel for that fluffy boy brow effect.
