She Went On A Date With A Guy Who Said Everything Was Easier When Women Didn't Have Credit Cards And Couldn't Vote – Chip Chick

The other day, TikToker Dani (@dani.coco) went on a date with a guy who seemed to be looking for a wife from the 1950s.
According to Dani, this guy said everything was simpler and easier when women couldn’t vote or have credit cards.
She sarcastically added that women shouldn’t have jobs either. Unfortunately, the joke flew over his head. He thought she was being serious and told her that it was really refreshing to hear. That’s when Dani realized this wasn’t just an offhand comment. It reflected his entire worldview.
“Naturally, that’s not the only horrific thing he said during this monologue,” Dani continued. “He went on about what he views as a woman’s place in society and the household.”
An hour and a half into the date, he still hadn’t asked her about what she did for work or anything else about herself, for that matter.
He wasn’t a fan of the whole “girl boss” movement and believed that most men didn’t find ambitious women attractive. For him, independence wasn’t empowering; it was a turn-off.
But if he thought that women shouldn’t have their own careers, then what did he expect them to do while waiting around to meet a man?
Dani asked him this very question, directly challenging his logic, and he replied that he hadn’t thought about it.
It was clear that men like him only viewed women in relation to men, never considering that they had their own goals and timelines, too.

“This man only asked me questions as it pertained to me being a good partner for him,” Dani pointed out. “Obviously, I didn’t figure this out immediately, but as I look back at the date, I was like, yeah, he only asked me questions that would help him figure out if he thought that I would fit into his life, not anything to actually get to know me.”
Some TikTok users shared similar dating horror stories in the comments section. Dani’s experience was an all-too-familiar reminder that a lot of men aren’t looking for a partner. They’re looking for a supporting character, a live-in maid, and a chef.
“He thought about it. He just didn’t want to tell you that he’s looking for a recent high school graduate,” stated one user.
“This is also why men who are like 50 to 90 miles away will swipe on you. In their minds, you’ll just move to them if it works out, no matter if you have a whole life and job where you currently live,” wrote another.
“My friend just sat through a date, and at the end of the 1.5-hour monologue, the one question he asked her was, ‘Do you have any more questions about me?’” added a third.
